Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role requires a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Kennel Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kennel while assisting with various tasks related to animal care. Duties Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. Maintain cleanliness of the kennel area by regularly cleaning and disinfecting cages, runs, and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff or management. Assist with dog training and basic obedience commands as needed. Provide animal restraint during veterinary examinations or treatments. Support pet grooming activities including bathing and brushing as required. Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and address any questions or concerns. Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping related to animal care. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving animals or supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred; kennel experience is a plus. Knowledge of dog training techniques and basic veterinary practices is beneficial. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable. Strong skills in customer service and communication. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with animal care. A genuine love for animals along with patience and compassion in handling them. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
