Job Description

We are looking for a well rounded, enthusiastic individual to join our locally owned grooming shop in a dog bather position. Comprehensive knowledge of dog breeds and coat types is needed. Specific schedule to be determined based on the season and shop needs. We are open 7 days a week but do close for 4 major holidays (Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day & New Years Day) Qualified applicants with relevant experience and availability will move to a brief meet-and-greet followed by a paid working interview.
REQUIRED
One or more year(s) professional pet bathing experience or related grooming experience.
Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to to provide thorough bathing, brushing, combing, nail filing/clipping, ear cleaning and posses knowledge to express anal glands, brush teeth and provide a quality experience for the pet. Ability to exercise special precautions for puppies, senior, and disabled pets Keeping stations and work area clean and sanitized. Immediate response in line with policies and procedures in the case of a pet emergency
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you comfortable safely handling large dogs (70+lbs) senior dogs, and anxious or behaviorally challenging pets without assistance if needed? Have you worked in a high volume grooming salon before? If yes, approximately how many dogs did you complete per day/shift? Our busiest days include weekends and holidays. Are you available to work Saturdays and other peak-demand days? What does reliable attendance mean to you in a grooming salon environment? What is the extent of your experience bathing dogs and cats? Please be as detailed as possible.
