Part Time Dog Bather and Grooming Assistant

About us: Pawsitive Style Grooming is a small mobile grooming business in Fredericksburg, VA that currently only has one groomer. We are fast-paced, customer-centric, and our goal is to provide a calm and safe grooming experience for every dog.

About you:

We are seeking a bather/groomer's assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience bathing, drying, and handling dogs, a love of pets, and a commitment to customer service. The applicant must be self-motivated and able to multitask, including cleaning, following directions, and bathing/drying dogs (including nail trim/grind, ear cleaning, and brushing/dematting - experience with sanitary clips, pad shaving, and feet trims is highly valued). The applicant must also have good communication skills with both animals and clients, and enjoy working as part of a team. Please note, experience working professionally with dogs is required. Responsibilities:

Bathe and dry dogs for the groomer Handle dogs confidently and safely Clean van interior during and after appointments Returning dogs to client for multi-dog houses Handling work phone and client communication Our work is done in a large converted van, and a good driving record and experience driving a larger vehicle may allow for an increase in hourly pay. Part-time hours have the potential to become full-time later on for the right fit.

Hours:

If hired, the applicant will commute daily to our home base off of Mine Rd. Which days the applicant works are flexible, but start time will be 7:45am each day, and return time roughly around 5pm daily, depending on the route.
