Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, haircuts, trim work, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products Handle dogs safely and compassionately, utilizing proper animal restraint methods to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, including tools, equipment, and work area to uphold health standards Assist with basic dog training techniques to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Support other team members with animal handling tasks Skills 1-2 years of grooming experience in either a grooming shop, vet clinic or mobile facility. Candidates should have knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styles, grooming equipment such as all commonly used blades and guard combs Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work calmly with dogs of all temperaments, ages and sizes Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger dogs safely Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals makes a difference every day!
