Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, haircutting, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and de-shedding treatments tailored to each dog's breed and coat type Handle dogs safely and humanely using proper animal restraint techniques, ensuring comfort and minimizing stress during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health condition, noting any skin issues, abnormalities or signs of illness, and communicate findings to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with pet owners, explaining grooming procedures, and offering pet care advice to foster trust and satisfaction Manage appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery while accommodating special requests or specific needs Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong knowledge of dog handling techniques and grooming tools Familiarity with animal handling, restraint methods, and pet care best practices to ensure safety for both pets and staff Knowledge of dog training principles can enhance your ability to manage different temperaments effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs onto grooming tables) while maintaining proper safety protocols Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that builds rapport with clients and pet owners Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus for understanding animal behavior in various settings Join our team where your passion for animals meets your grooming expertise!
