Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dog and Cat Boarding and Daycare Specialist to join our management team. In this role, you will be the primary caregiver and ambassador for our furry guests, ensuring they receive exceptional care, comfort, and attention throughout their stay. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small setting dedicated to animal well-being and customer satisfaction. Along with our small, tight-knit team of staff, you will help lead and support the daily operations of our pet care facility. Rose Hill Pet Services is open 12 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days per year so we would like to have 3 assistant managers on staff trained to supervise and lead daily operations. Starting pay is dependent upon prior animal handling and management experience. With the right personality, perseverance and resilience, we are willing to train the right person who may be lacking prior experience in one or two of the duties listed below. Duties Assist in managing daily operations of the pet care center, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of animal care Facilitate positive dog socialization in groups of 2-15 Maintain cleanliness of animal lodgings and facility Supervise and support pet care staff Help coordinate and oversee medication administration and feeding Provide excellent customer service through in person, phone and email communications Support pet grooming sessions should a second set of hands be needed Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary, maintaining safety protocols at all times Qualifications Team player with a positive attitude who will prioritize maintaining a pleasant work environment for all Proven experience in dog training, dog handling, or animal handling roles such as prior boarding or daycare center, training facilities or humane societies Experience giving medication Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during busy shifts in all weather conditions Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and safety protocols for handling various size dogs and in groups of 2-15. Pay:
