  • Part-time, Full-time Responsibilities:
  • Bathe and groom pets according to client specifications and breed standards
  • Handle and restrain animals safely and securely during grooming procedures
  • Assist with nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and disinfecting grooming tools and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction
  • Monitor the health and well-being of pets during grooming sessions
Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a pet bather or in a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs and cats
  • Familiarity with animal behavior and handling techniques
  • Experience with equine grooming or dog training is a plus
  • Basic understanding of veterinary care and animal anatomy
  • Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and address their needs
Skills:
  • Proficient in pet grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, and drying
  • Ability to handle animals safely and calmly, using appropriate restraint methods
  • Knowledge of different coat types and how to properly care for them
  • Familiarity with basic dog training commands and techniques
  • Understanding of animal care practices, including feeding, exercise, and hygiene
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs or bags of pet food This position offers an opportunity to work with animals in a professional setting.
