Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals, a strong understanding of grooming techniques, and a desire to provide excellent customer service. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming a variety of dog breeds, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring the well-being of the pets in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform grooming services including brushing, bathing, haircuts, nail trimming/grinding, ear cleaning, and gland expression. Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations based on the pet's breed and condition. Monitor pets for health issues and report any concerns to pet owners Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized grooming area. Use grooming tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their pets. Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and industry trends.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of professional dog grooming experience required. Knowledge of various dog breeds and grooming standards. Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and patience. Strong communication and customer service skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow client instructions closely. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Certification from a grooming school is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift and handle pets weighing up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working with animals that may be anxious or difficult.
