We are a busy grooming salon with a loyal clientele and the highest of standards. We groom 7 days/week and need candidates with the flexibility to work weekdays and weekends, as the business demands. The groomer's assistant is responsible to efficiently prepping dogs for the groomers to style. This includes thoroughly washing and drying the dogs, brushing out the coat, trimming the nails (including using the dremel) and shaving out the paw pads. Other responsibilities include servicing bath appointments and walk-in nail trim customers, making reminder calls, some computer, laundry and daily deep cleaning. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and efficiently and be able to safely handle 6-8 dogs per day ranging from 5lbs to 150lbs. Minimum one year dog bathing experience required. Salary commensurate with experience Candidates without dog bathing experience will not be considered. You provide a positive, can-do attitude and we'll provide a clean, well-equipped and well-supplied space, great clients and a real team spirit. Hourly wage plus tips.
