Duties Safely bathe, dry, and groom dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation Assist with dog handling during grooming procedures to ensure comfort and safety for the animals Use animal restraint techniques effectively to facilitate grooming while minimizing stress for pets Perform basic dog training exercises to encourage good behavior during grooming sessions Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment regularly Monitor pets' health during grooming, noting any signs of skin issues or discomfort that may require veterinary attention Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and special instructions Skills Experience with pet grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Background in animal care or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to assess pet health Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of pet behavior and training methods Ability to lift heavy objects safely when handling large dogs or equipment Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners Familiarity with kennel or pet sitting environments is advantageous for understanding animal needs Join us in creating a welcoming space where pets are pampered with care and professionalism!
