Job Description

Our ideal candidate will learn the business from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience and growing into this role over time. This person will have experience managing humans, experience at a doggie daycare, and experience booking client appointments. This person needs to be an expert in dog play and have knowledge of dog body language, dog pack play experience, be self-motivated with experience leading a team, and keep focused on the tasks while directing the team members between cleaning and managing dog play. This person will be required to work 4 to 8 hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday, at a minimum of 3 weekends a month.
Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
Manage and supervise operations of the facility under the direction of our general manager. Enforce standard operating procedures for the care, feeding, and playtime activities of dogs. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained throughout the facility. Comfort directing team members for tasks needing to be performed and ensure safe operations, proper animal care, and responsible labor management by providing clear guidelines for when team members may be sent home early at the end of a shift.
Team Management:
Schedule and assign team duties to ensure adequate coverage and quality care for all dogs. Conduct regular performance evaluations in conjunction with the general manager and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Service:
Interact with pet owners to understand their specific needs and preferences. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally. Foster positive relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Address any dog concerns with all humans in the facility quickly and calmly.
Financial:
Properly track usage of services in the facility to make sure all services are being billed properly. Making sure that we receive payments for all services before service is rendered.
Health and Safety:
Monitor the health and well-being of all dogs in the facility. Implement and enforce health protocols, including vaccinations and hygiene practices. Respond effectively to any emergencies or medical issues, coordinating with veterinary services as needed. Ability to respond to emergencies both in the park and with our remote team of pet professionals.
Facility Maintenance:
Oversee maintenance of the facility, ensuring a clean and safe environment for dogs and the team. Manage inventory of supplies, including food, bedding, and cleaning materials. During an emergency, solve for all humans and dogs exiting the park in an organized manner. Help coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed.
Job Type:
This position will start as part-time, and as the individual is trained, can become a full-time member of the team.
