Duties Safely walk and exercise dogs of various breeds and sizes during the midday hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. Handle dog training techniques to encourage good behavior during walks. Restrain and manage animals using proper animal handling and restraint techniques to prevent injuries or escapes. Monitor dogs' health and behavior during walks, noting any signs of distress or illness that may require veterinary attention. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' activities, behaviors, and any concerns observed during walks. Assist with pet sitting duties when needed, providing additional care such as feeding or administering medication under supervision. Requirements Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to manage large or energetic dogs. Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint techniques. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners. Experience in veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine experience, or kennel work is advantageous. All positions are paid roles committed to providing excellent pet care services while fostering your growth in the animal care industry. Our furry clients are primarily located in: Chula Vista (70%) Imperial Beach (20%) North Park/South Park (10%) We drive about 30 miles per shift to approximately 6 houses. AvailabilityWe're seeking individuals with flexible availability, including the willingness to work 4+ of the following shifts per week:

Split Shifts:

7:30 AM-10:00 AM and 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, any day of the week

Midday Shift:

9:00 AM-2:00 PM, Monday to Sunday We ask for a minimum commitment of four days per week and at least 10 hours weekly. Applicants must be able to commit to a 12-month term .

Pay:

From $17.75 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 12.0 per week
