Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer

Responsibilities Deliver professional grooming services tailored to each pet's breed, size, and individual needs, including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches. Train new salon staff and groomers on grooming techniques, animal handling, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Demonstrate proper animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure pet comfort and safety during grooming procedures. Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health conditions when necessary. Educate clients on pet grooming maintenance routines and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and trust. Maintain a clean, organized grooming area adhering to health and safety regulations; ensure all tools are sanitized regularly. Support team efforts by lifting heavy equipment or pets safely while practicing proper body mechanics. Experience Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable, providing insight into animal health and care. Background in dog training or veterinary experience that demonstrates an ability to work confidently with animals of various temperaments. Familiarity with animal handling across different species such as dogs and horses is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial for understanding pet behavior and care routines. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while maintaining a lively, positive attitude.
