Job Description

About The Hub The Hub is a membership-based dog training and enrichment space located at City Center Bishop Ranch. Our approach is built around the idea that training should be an ongoing part of a dog's life — not just something people do when there's a problem. Members come to us for classes, enrichment activities, social experiences, workshops, coworking, and day-to-day support with their dogs. We've built a strong community over the past year and are looking for an experienced trainer to join our growing team. About the Position This role is designed around scheduled sessions rather than traditional hourly facility work. Compensation is tied to lessons, classes, and programs taught, with session rates intended to account for preparation and follow-up responsibilities. Because trainers are not expected to stay on-site between sessions unless scheduled, the position offers more flexibility than many conventional training facility roles. We also use systems that reduce administrative workload, including digital note-taking tools and streamlined client communication processes. What Makes This Role Different This position may be a good fit for trainers who enjoy working collaboratively but still want autonomy in how they teach and structure their day. Some aspects of the role include: Working out of a dedicated indoor facility rather than traveling between homes Access to an established client base through our membership community Structured spaces for reactive, fearful, or easily overwhelmed dogs Existing class frameworks and training resources that trainers can build on Opportunities to help shape new programs, workshops, and class ideas A team environment focused on modern, science-based training methods Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Teaching private lessons and group classes Supporting puppy training, manners, enrichment, and behavior cases Developing training plans tailored to client goals Assisting with enrichment and drop-off programs Communicating clearly with clients and teammates Using digital tools for scheduling, notes, and client follow-up Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Has at least 2 years of professional dog training experience Uses positive reinforcement-based methods Is comfortable teaching both people and dogs Can work some evenings and weekends Is organized, dependable, and communicative Enjoys continued learning in behavior and training Works well independently while also collaborating with a team Compensation & Benefits Session-based compensation structure Continuing education and mentorship opportunities Access to training resources and technology tools Staff discounts and enrichment opportunities Opportunity for growth within a developing business
