Motorcycle RiderCoach Candidate Connecticut Rider Education Program (CONREP) Fairfield, CT Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Contract $30 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Report writing Motorcycle License Driver's License Driving Instructor-led training (training delivery method) Motorcycle driving experience Classroom behavior management Classroom Teaching Adult learning Communication skills Teaching Adult education Safety protocol implementation Entry level Full Job Description Motorcycle RiderCoach Candidate Overview As a CT MSF RiderCoach Candidate, you will participate in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's challenging and comprehensive training program to become nationally certified to teach the BRC (Basic RiderCourse). By the end of the 9 day in-person RiderCoach Prep training you will be prepared to run engaging motorcycle safety courses in Connecticut. This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about motorcycle safety, education, and promoting motorcycling in a positive light. Credentials for applicants You must possess a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean riding record with a motorcycle endorsement You must pass a security clearance and be cleared to work for the State of Connecticut Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey instructions and feedback Enthusiasm for learning and time management is essential You must own and ride a motorcycle regularly The training to become a RiderCoach in CT involves about 100 hours of your time—lots of studying, 5-6 hours of online training, and in-person practice. There are 9 days of (free) in-person training after you've spent no less than 20 hours studying and completing required in-home material. You must attend each in-person session in its entirety with no exceptions. To pass, you must successfully pass a written test, a riding test, and student teaching assignments.   • 8am to 5pm Saturday, June 13
  • 8am to 5pm Sunday, June 14
  • 8am to 5pm Friday, June 19
  • 8am to 5pm Saturday, June 20
  • 8am to 5pm Sunday, June 21
  • 8am to 5pm Friday, June 26
  • 8am•5pm Saturday, June 27•6am to 3pm Sunday June 28•6am to 3pm You MUST attend ALL dates listed in full—no exceptions.
It will be held at the Jefferson St. Commuter lot in Fairfield, which is located off exit 28 (old exit 46) of the Merrit Parkway at the Jefferson St. commuter lot. Responsibilities of a CONREP Motorcycle RiderCoach are not limited to, but include: Run motorcycle safety training sessions to adult students in classroom and parking lot settings Demonstrate the curriculum's safe riding techniques on provided training motorcycles Provide constructive feedback to students during training sessions Receive constructive feedback from other coaches and trainers to further your own development Help maintain a safe, positive, inclusive learning environment by managing class dynamics effectively Ensure all safety protocols are followed during practical riding exercises and classroom activities Write up reports and results to managing coordinator If you have a passion for motorcycle safety, are available at least one weekend per month from April through October, and would like to apply, we will be selecting candidates by May 1, 2026.
