About WildHeart Riding School WildHeart Riding School is one of Central Florida's fastest-growing riding programs, serving hundreds of riders and providing quality instruction in a positive, supportive environment. We believe horses change lives, and we are looking for a professional who is passionate about both horses and people. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Horse Trainer / Riding Instructor to join our team. This role combines horse training, lesson instruction, and helping maintain the quality and consistency of our lesson horse program. The ideal candidate is confident working with a variety of horses and riders, enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities, and understands how to create safe, productive, and enjoyable learning experiences. ResponsibilitiesHorse Training & Schooling School and exercise lesson horses regularly to maintain fitness, responsiveness, and consistency. Tune up horses as needed to keep them performing safely and effectively in lessons. Evaluate horses for soundness, behavior, and suitability within lesson programs. Help introduce new horses into the lesson program. Identify training gaps and create plans to improve horse performance. Assist with horse assessments and recommendations regarding program suitability. Riding Instruction Teach private and group lessons for riders of various ages and skill levels. Instruct beginner through intermediate riders in a safe and encouraging manner. Adapt teaching methods to support riders with different learning styles. Work with children and riders on the autism spectrum and other special needs when appropriate. Help riders develop confidence, horsemanship, balance, position, and overall riding skills. Provide clear feedback and progress updates. Program Support Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for riders and families. Work closely with management and fellow instructors. Maintain high safety standards for horses and riders. Assist with rider evaluations and placement into appropriate programs. Participate in clinics, camps, special events, and school activities as needed. Qualifications Previous horse training and riding instruction experience required. Strong understanding of horse behavior, conditioning, and training principles. Experience teaching riders of varying ages and abilities. Comfortable working with children. Patient, professional, and safety-focused. Ability to ride multiple horses per day. Reliable, organized, and team-oriented. Experience in either English, Western, or both disciplines preferred.
