Job Description

Job Summary We are looking to fill a part/full time position (30 - 40 hrs) for an Experienced Dog Trainer . We have been training since 2009 and we focus on helping families create the most well-behaved family members. We specialize in obedience at multiple levels as well as behavior modification. Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Dog Trainer, where your passion for animals and expertise in canine behavior will make a lasting impact! In this role, you will develop and implement effective training programs tailored to dogs of all ages and temperaments, helping pet owners build stronger, healthier relationships with their furry companions. Your energetic approach and comprehensive knowledge will inspire confidence in clients and ensure dogs receive the highest standard of care and training. Duties Self-motivation and drive is a MUST Computer skills a must Understand positive reinforcement, L.I.M.A., and Balanced dog training Must be certified or equivalent. Willing to help become Certified Must have a minimum of one year experience with training dogs Must have excellent communication skills Collaborate as part of a small close team Everyone has personal challenges; therefore, compassion is mandatory Be comfortable working with challenging dogs of all sizes and behaviors Ability to defuse conflict Be willing to accept multiple training modalities and tools A strong work ethic is mandatory as well as keeping an open mind Be capable of working a physically demanding job during all times of the year; including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, walking, lifting, and bending over Be open to constructive criticism and learning new skills Have reliable transportation Must be willing to work evenings, some weekends, and some holidays College or a secondary education is preferred but not mandatory You must be a positive person, confident, passionate, love working with people, be able to lead, and control your reactions Ability to pass a drug test Requirements Training dogs according to Bauser's Pet Training standards of care Counseling human clients on building better relationships with their canine companions Taking photos and videos as needed for educating the dog owner and social media Generate and email report cards for dog owners Excellent communication with clients and staff on a regular basis via text, call, or email Cleaning kennels, contributing to overall cleaning and maintenance of our facility Mandatory Virus Precaution(s): Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place Provide care for client dogs including but not limited to feeding, bathing, walking, administering medication, and/or CPR, etc… Monitor performance of training clients/dogs metrics and participate in implementation of policies, protocols, and curriculum Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise transforms lives—both canine and human! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
