Responsibilities Lead energetic walks for dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring safety and exercise needs are met with enthusiasm. Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication if needed, and engaging in stimulating play. Handle animals with care using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and yourself. Maintain detailed records of pet behavior, feeding schedules, and any health concerns during visits. Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required to keep animals clean and comfortable. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' activities, health status, and special instructions. Support pet care routines that may include light training or behavior reinforcement based on owner preferences. Requirements Proven experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe interactions. Strong animal handling skills across different species including dogs and horses (equine experience is a plus). Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care. Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their needs professionally. Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant background enhances your ability to recognize health issues early. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for flexible scheduling and travel between clients' homes.
