A Dog's Life is a thriving doggy daycare dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our team is passionate about ensuring that every dog in our care receives the love, attention, and exercise they need to thrive. We pride ourselves on offering personalized care and fostering a sense of community among our furry clients and their owners.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic sophomore in high school to join our team as a Doggy Daycare Assistant. This position offers a unique opportunity to work for a small business, gaining valuable experience in animal care while earning income after school during the academic year and with extended hours during the summer months. No prior experience is required - we will provide comprehensive training to ensure you have all the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and interact with dogs in our care, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Assist with feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed
  • Clean and maintain daycare facilities, including indoor and outdoor play areas, restrooms, and common areas
  • Engage with pet owners, providing updates and answering questions about their pets' experiences at our daycare
  • Participate in training sessions to learn about dog behavior, handling techniques, and basic obedience training methods
Qualifications:
  • Must be a sophomore in high school or equivalent
  • Passionate about animals, particularly dogs, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of animal care
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
