Job Description
Position Overview:
Fast Tracks Canine Activity Center is looking to hire two part-time Daycare & Kennel Handlers to join our team. This position is responsible for providing safe, attentive, and compassionate care for the dogs staying with us for daycare and boarding. We are looking for dependable, hard-working people who enjoy dogs, can stay calm in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in keeping our facility clean, safe, and organized.Schedule:
We are currently hiring for shifts between: 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM 1:00 PM
- 8:00 PM 4:00 PM
- 8:00 PM Availability is needed Monday through Sunday.
Responsibilities:
Supervise dogs in play yards and kennel areas Monitor dog behavior, body language, and group play for safety Help maintain a calm, clean, and structured environment Feed dogs, provide water, and assist with medications as needed Clean kennels, play yards, bowls, bedding, and common areas Take photos and help send daily updates to pet parents Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and basic client communication when needed Follow Fast Tracks safety procedures and handling guidelines Communicate with the team about dog behavior, health concerns, or facility needsRequired Qualifications and Skills:
Must be dependable and on time Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Ability to stay calm and react quickly when needed Strong communication skills Good attention to detail Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Able to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary Willingness to clean and help wherever needed Passion for dogs and animal carePreferred Experience:
Previous experience with dogs, daycare, boarding, grooming, training, vet care, or animal handling is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.Pay:
