Animal Sense - Junior Trainer animalsense - 2.7 Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Animal behavioral training Customer service High school diploma or GED Communication skills Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Our ideal Junior Trainer candidates are able to support and assist Senior Trainers in creating a supportive class atmosphere that fosters learning. They would be able to effectively communicate to an individual what the Senior trainer is presenting to the class so they are able to practice the desired behavior effectively. They must have an overall knowledge of behavior modification, specifically advocating positive reinforcement. You must be enthusiastic about customer service, as well as dog training. We are looking for team players that love the challenges and rewards of working with dogs and their owners. Our positions are part-time, and weekends and evenings are a must.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent At least 6 months dog training experience, or equivalent dog training educational program Maintains membership in Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) Knowledge and belief of using positive reinforcement to modify behavior, especially aggression issues Understanding of modern training tools and equipment (collars, head collars, harnesses, thundershirts, etc.) Be able to speak in front of groups Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well with a team is essential To apply, please download the application, complete and return with your resume via email to or fax to 312-564-4575.
