We're looking for someone who is attentive, takes pride in their work, and has great customer service in being able to greet the clients and helping them start their day right. We're known for providing personalized, enrichment-based pet care with a strong focus on communication, safety, and trust. We're located just a short walk from the Red Line (North & Clybourn) and the Brown Line (Sedgwick). Our team is small but mighty, and we're looking for someone who brings reliability, initiative, and professionalism to the table. All positions at Fire Hydrant Doggy Daycare are either contractor or part-time. No full-time positions exist. Positions are entry-level, with opportunities for growth! Business Hours are Monday - Friday. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. We specialize in various Pet Care needs such as Doggy Daycare, Enrichment, and Socialization. Fire Hydrant has a VERY close relationship with the pet parents. So you will not only need to be good with the dogs, but the humans too!

Main Responsibilities Supervise off-leash play and group interactions with a calm, confident presence Monitor dog behavior and intervene appropriately when needed Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility (sweeping, mopping, poop pick-up, windows, etc.) Read and interpret dog body language to maintain a safe and structured environment Provide verbal and written communication with clients (we send report cards about 2-3x per day) Take daily photos and contribute to pet report cards Follow all safety and operational procedures consistently What Fire Hydrant Offers A supportive team that values transparency and growth.
