Kennel Attendant

Duties Assist with daily cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining kennels to ensure a hygienic environment for all animals Handle dogs and other pets with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety during feeding, grooming, or medical procedures Support pet grooming activities including bathing, brushing, and basic styling to keep animals comfortable and looking their best Provide pet sitting services by engaging with animals through play, feeding, and companionship to promote well-being Support training activities such as basic dog training exercises to encourage good behavior and socialization Heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary, following proper safety procedures to prevent injury Qualifications Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, pet grooming salon or similar setting is highly desirable Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for both animals and staff Experience with pet grooming or pet sitting is a plus Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by the role Passionate about animal welfare with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Join us in creating a caring environment where animals feel safe and loved!
