- Supervise and monitor dogs in a daycare setting to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Engage in playtime activities with dogs, including interactive games and exercise.
- Provide basic training and obedience reinforcement to dogs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including cleaning up after dogs and sanitizing play areas.
- Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by their owners or veterinarians.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or ensure a safe play environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to dog owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting, such as a dog daycare, kennel, veterinary clinic, or animal shelteris preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, handling techniques, and basic training principles is prefered, but not required.
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with dog owners.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) throughout the day.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of basic first aid for dogs is preferred but not required.
