Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our furry friends. This position requires a strong passion for animals and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, exercise
- Clean and maintain kennels, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment
- Assist with administering medications as directed by management
- Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to management
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Walk dogs and provide basic obedience training as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
- Assist with customer service duties, including answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and basic medical care
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle animals of various sizes and lift heavy objects if necessary
