Job Description
Black Anchor K9 is a results-driven dog training company serving Boston, Southern New Hampshire, and surrounding areas. We charge premium rates because we deliver premium results — and we're growing. We're hiring two experienced trainers who are reliable, skilled with balanced training methods, and ready to take on Board & Train programs. What You'll Do Host and manage Board & Train programs from your home — 2-4 week programs with daily training, client updates, progress videos, and transfer lessons at program completion Conduct private lessons in clients' homes and public environments covering real-world obedience and behavior modification Handle dogs confidently, including those with behavioral challenges such as aggression and reactivity Communicate clearly and consistently with clients throughout every program Follow Black Anchor K9 training standards and balanced training philosophy Maintain accurate records, session notes, and client documentation What We Require Minimum 2 years of professional dog training experience (3+ preferred) Certification through IAABC, CCPDT, KPA, or a recognized organization — or verifiable Military Working Dog handler experience A home suitable for hosting dogs during Board & Train programs Reliable personal transportation throughout San Antonio Experience with balanced training methods and tools Strong professionalism, reliability, and self-motivation Willingness to pursue NePoPo® certification as you grow with us (not required at hire) Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications or specializations in behavior modification or sport dog training Compensation Pay is based on program revenue. Private lessons currently average $55-$90 per session. Board & Train compensation ranges $1,200-$2,000 per program. Reliable, high-performing trainers receive consistent work.
