Job Description

Job Summary Animal Educators are responsible for conducting lessons with live animals and going into schools, classrooms, and public spaces and presenting with a wide variety of Village Edu zoo creatures. As an educator, you will be trained in learning about our many species, as well as how to handle them and use them as teaching tools for kids. This position involves working closely with various species, including insects, tarantulas, and other invertebrates , and requires being comfortable presenting in front of crowds. The ideal candidate will be dependable, and dedicated to providing high-quality education programs. Duties Participate in training programs related to education and handling of animals. Present various educational lessons to children and community members. Travel to locations where educational presentations have been requested. Engage in moderate lifting tasks related to moving animals or equipment. Implement proper handling techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff. Skills Ability to comfortably handle various creatures. Public speaking. Common sense. More common sense.
Pay:
