About the Role We're hiring a Dog Trainer Apprentice to learn hands-on while assisting with our in-home training retreat program . This is not a typical dog job — it's an opportunity to learn real dog training, build skills, and grow into a professional trainer . Top performers will have the opportunity to: Run private lessons Lead group classes Assist with and run events Take on training cases independently What This Job Actually Looks Like This is a hands-on, active role — not just playing with dogs. Cleaning is a major part of the job (crates, yards, training areas) Basic grooming & care (bathing, brushing, maintaining clean dogs) Working outdoors daily (in all weather) Structured training sessions, not just playtime Handling multiple dogs in training Assisting with training retreats in a home environment Driving up to ~1 hour for dog pick up/drop off Our Culture We are a tech-savvy, video-driven training company . We document training and progress through video We communicate as a virtual team We use video for feedback, coaching, and improvement You must be comfortable filming and being on camera If you are not comfortable using your phone to record and communicate daily, this is not the right fit. What We're Looking For Strong interest in learning dog training (not just loving dogs) Coachable and open to feedback Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable with structure, routine, and physical work Enjoys being outdoors and active Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and dog care Has reliable transportation and willing to drive Physical & Job Requirements Able to lift and handle dogs of various sizes Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods Comfortable with cleaning, grooming tasks, and physical labor Able to safely handle dogs with different energy levels and behaviors Bonus Qualifications (Not Required) Dog training experience Animal handling or kennel experience Grooming experience Interest in becoming a professional trainer Important - Application Requirement To apply, submit a video (under 2 minutes) answering: Why do you want to work with dogs and learn training? $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
