We are seeking candidates for a highly responsible and attentive Kennel Assistant and Handler for our purpose-built, modern daycare and boarding facility. The Kennel Assistant and Handler is responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of our canine and feline guests. It is our top priority that staffers remain keenly aware of any health-related concerns of the facility guests. To ensure success as a Kennel Assistant and Handler, you should be able to anticipate and tend to the needs of animals. Ultimately, a top-notch kennel attendant will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges. There may also be occasional opportunities to pick-up additional shifts.

Responsibilities:

Provide care and attention to animals in the kennel facility Clean kennels and other animal living areas as necessary Accompanying and observation of animals when in the play spaces Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management Assist incoming crew members with shift transition Evacuating all animals if an emergency occurs

Qualifications:

Previous experience caring for animals will be advantageous Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions consistently and accurately Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with both team members and customers Ability to arrive on-time and work in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to perform lifting and manual labor when required At our kennel facility, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for our four-legged friends.
