$15.00 - $16.50 per hour Job description: Full-Time Dog Daycare Attendant $15.00 - $16.50 per hour + Performance-Based Raises From The Heart Dog Services - Royal Oak, MI In-Person | Full-Time (35-40 hours/week) About Us From The Heart Dog Services is a structured dog training and behavior program in Royal Oak dedicated to building calm, confident dogs through clear leadership, consistent boundaries, daily exercise, and relationship-based training. Our trainer-led daycare is not traditional free-play daycare. It is a purposeful, structured environment that gives dogs the guidance and outlets they need to succeed — especially dogs that thrive with calm energy and clear rules. We're building a team of passionate professionals who take pride in creating a safe, organized, and truly positive space for dogs and their owners. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, full-time Daycare Attendant who loves working hands-on with dogs and values structure, calm leadership, and doing dog care the right way. This active role is perfect for someone who wants to develop professional dog-handling skills while making a real difference in dogs' daily lives and long-term behavior. Key Responsibilities Assist with structured daycare routines: group activities, rest periods, smooth transitions, and pack walks Supervise and guide dogs during structured group time while reinforcing calm behavior Manage dog drop-offs, pick-ups, and daily communication with clients Closely observe dog behavior and report any concerns to the lead trainer Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized facility (crates, yards, floors, play areas) Support feeding schedules, water access, and medication administration as needed Help ensure safe, efficient daily operations and a positive environment for every dog
What We're Looking For Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old Comfortable and confident handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Reliable, punctual, and available on weekends (peak days currently include Tuesday-Thursday + weekends) Physically fit — able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and stay active for full shifts Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions consistently Comfortable in a loud, active environment with barking dogs Reliable transportation to Royal Oak, MI Legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred /
A Plus:
Previous professional dog experience (daycare, boarding, or training, grooming, veterinary, etc.) Passion for structured, relationship-based training methods Valid driver's license with a clean record We provide thorough, hands-on training to the right motivated candidate — no prior experience is required if you have the right attitude and work ethic.
Schedule & Compensation Full-Time :
35-40 hours per week Shifts include mornings, afternoons, and full days (training covers opening and closing)
Pay :
