Job Description

Luxury Pet Sitter:
(Independent Contractor) Do you have extensive experience handling dogs and a passion for providing exceptional pet care? Our luxury pet-sitting company is seeking a dependable, experienced, and detail-oriented pet sitter to join our growing team. This is an independent contractor position, with compensation ranging from 65%-70% of each completed booking. We are looking for a professional who loves animals, take pride in their work, and can confidently provide high-level care for a variety of pets and personalities. Please Read Before Applying This is not an entry-level pet-sitting position. We are specifically seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of dog-handling experience. Many of our clients have dogs that may be reactive on leash, nervous around new people, anxious, or require confident and knowledgeable handling skills. Applicants must be comfortable reading canine body language, managing challenging situations safely, and maintaining control during walks and interactions. If you have cat experience as well that will also be very appreciated. This is also a highly travel-dependent position. Reliable personal transportation is required. Our clients are located throughout Raleigh, Durham, and Wake Forest. Applicants must have their own dependable vehicle and be willing to travel independently between client homes. This position is not suitable for applicants who rely solely on public transportation or ride-share services. Key Responsibilities Provide overnight pet care in clients' homes while following detailed care instructions Walk, feed, medicate, and care for pets according to client preferences Safely handle dogs of varying sizes, temperaments, and behavioral needs Monitor pet health, behavior, and well-being during visits Maintain a clean, respectful, and professional presence in clients' homes Provide attentive, loving, and safety-focused care at all times Communicate professionally and consistently with clients and management Submit updates, photos, and visit reports as required Commit fully to assigned bookings and honor scheduled jobs Travel independently to client homes throughout the service area Requirements Minimum 2 years of dog-handling experience required Experience with reactive, nervous, anxious, or high-energy dogs strongly preferred Must have your own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Comfortable traveling throughout Raleigh, Durham, and Wake Forest Must pass a background check and drug screening Strong communication skills and professionalism Highly dependable, punctual, and trustworthy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays What We're Looking For We are not your average pet-sitting company, we provide luxury-level care to both pets and their homes.
