Responsibilities Engage with pet owners to understand their pets' needs and recommend appropriate products, grooming services, or training programs Provide expert advice on dog training techniques, pet grooming, and general animal care to ensure optimal well-being Assist with handling animals during consultations or demonstrations, ensuring safety and comfort through proper animal restraint and handling skills Educate customers on veterinary-related topics such as pet health, behavior management, and preventive care based on veterinary experience or technician background Support kennel operations by managing pet sitting requests, overseeing animal care routines, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for all animals Conduct pet handling activities including walking, feeding, grooming, and administering basic pet care procedures with professionalism and compassion Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, pet profiles, and service appointments while ensuring compliance with safety protocols such as heavy lifting guidelines Experience Previous experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, shelters, kennels or pet grooming salons is highly desirable Knowledge of dog training methods and behavioral management techniques Hands-on veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred for understanding animal health needs Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Experience in pet grooming or pet sitting adds valuable insight into comprehensive pet care Physical capability for heavy lifting required when managing supplies or assisting with larger animals Join us in creating a welcoming environment where pets thrive and owners feel confident in their choices!
