Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Doggie School Trainer/Leader, where you'll inspire and guide dogs through engaging training programs designed to foster well-behaved, confident, and happy pets. In this energetic role, you'll utilize your expertise in dog training, animal handling, and pet care to create a positive learning environment for our daycare pack. Your leadership will help strengthen the manners and obedience of the dogs in our pack. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our dogs and their families. Responsibilities First and foremost to show up on time ready to work with the group of dogs. We are a small business with limited staff, nearly impeccable attendance is a must! Create and conduct engaging training sessions for dogs of various breeds and temperaments, focusing on obedience, socialization, and behavioral correction Educate pet owners on effective training methods, pet care routines, and behavioral management strategies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment that promotes positive reinforcement Monitor progress of each dog throughout the training program and adjust techniques as needed Assist with pet grooming, boarders, or kennel duties as required to support overall animal care Qualifications Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of canine behavior and learning principles Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly desirable Hands-on animal handling skills, including animal restraint and care across different species such as dogs and horses Knowledge of pet grooming, pet sitting, and general animal care practices Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or animals Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Prior experience in kennel management or animal handling roles is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively instruct pet owners and team members Come join our pack!
