Job Description

Pet Play Dog Daycare Location:
Medina, OH Pay:
Starting at $17.00 per hour Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available Love animals? Want a rewarding career helping people and pets? Creative Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work at our Pet Play vocational habilitation program. This unique position combines supporting adults with developmental disabilities while working in a dog daycare environment. Staff assist individuals in developing vocational, social, and life skills while helping care for dogs (and occasionally cats) in a fun, active setting. No experience? No problem! We provide paid training.
Responsibilities:
Support individuals with developmental disabilities in a vocational training environment Assist individuals in learning and performing job-related tasks Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development Supervise and support individuals during daily activities Assist with dog daycare operations, including monitoring play groups and maintaining a clean environment Help with feeding, cleaning, and basic animal care tasks as assigned Complete required documentation and daily notes Maintain a safe environment for individuals, staff, and animals Transport individuals as needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License required Must be able to pass required background checks Comfortable working around dogs of various breeds and sizes Ability to remain active throughout the workday Reliable attendance and dependability required Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Experience in animal care, dog daycare, kennel, veterinary, grooming, or pet services CPR/First Aid Certification Don't have these certifications? We provide paid training!
