Job Description

Professional Dog Trainer / Canine Behavior Specialist About Us At Chambers K9 Training, we specialize in producing highly obedient, stable, reliable dogs through real-world training. We work with everything from young puppies to high-drive working breeds and behavior cases, focusing on clear communication, structure, accountability, and results that actually hold up in everyday life. We are growing quickly and looking for the right person to join our team long term. This is not a "play with dogs all day" position. This is a hands-on role that requires professionalism, confidence, attention to detail, and the ability to lead both dogs and people. What You'll Be Doing Working directly with dogs in obedience and behavior programs Assisting with private lessons, board-and-train programs, and client coaching Handling dogs safely and confidently in real-world environments Practicing and applying training systems consistently Communicating professionally with clients Maintaining training equipment, kennels, cleanliness, and structure Continuing education and skill development The Right Candidate We are looking for someone who: Learns quickly and takes feedback well Is calm under pressure and confident with dogs Has strong work ethic and personal accountability Communicates professionally Is physically capable of handling large, powerful dogs Wants to grow long term in the dog training industry Takes pride in doing things the right way Dog training experience is a plus, but mindset, work ethic, and coachability matter more than experience alone.
