Job Description

Overview Join our growing team as a Dog Trainer, where your passion for animals and dedication to helping families and their pets live their best lives possible will make a true difference. In this energetic role, you will work with all breeds, ages, and temperaments to establish clarity of communication between dogs and their owners, promoting positive behavior, and improving the bonds between humans and their canines. Duties Develop customized training plans tailored to each dog's temperament, age, and specific needs to ensure successful behavior modification. Conduct group one-on-one training sessions at the end of each training program to teach families how to properly communicate with their dogs, and to build upon all that their pups have learned during their time with you. Handle dogs safely at all times while they are under your care, demonstrating proper animal restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and yourself. Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral assessments, and client interactions to track development over time. Communicate daily with owners in a professional manner, providing photo and video updates of their pets and what was taught and mastered each day Build and maintain positive relationships with the families of the dogs entrusted to your care, following up post turnover to ensure the continued success of the training program Qualifications A desire to learn all facets of canine behavior, and the motivation to want to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of our client families Own your own home; or, if you rent, have approval to house multiple dogs of various breeds Fenced in yard strongly preferred Reliable transportation Preference given to prior Military, LEO, and First Responders Veterinary technician or assistant experience is desirable to enhance understanding of animal health and care needs. Background in veterinary or animal handling fields such as veterinary technician experience or equine experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for kennel cleaning, equipment setup, or transporting animals safely. Passionate about pet care with additional skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel management preferred. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
