Full Job Description Job Type:

Part-Time (Possible Full-Time for the Right Person) Kennel Technician•This is NOT a seasonal position nor avaliable to high school students due to the work hours. The Collar Club Academy is a professional dog training and behavior modification facility seeking a dependable kennel technician to join our team. This is not a doggy daycare or pet spa. We work with board-and-train dogs, behavior cases, and high-energy dogs that require structure, routine, and proper handling. This position involves physical work, daily cleaning, and working in a fast-paced kennel environment. We are looking for a reliable individuals who can follow directions, show up on time, work independently and take pride in their work.

Schedule for this postion:

Morning Shift:

4:00 AM•10:00

AM Monday-Saturday Evening Shift:

6:00 PM•9:00 PM a couple times during the week day Weekend Shifts Available Morning shift begins at 4:00 AM. Applicant must be able to consistently arrive on time for these shifts. Additional hours and full-time opportunities may be available for the right candidate. About Our Facility We are a structured training facility, not a daycare environment. Dogs in our programs are in training and require consistency, routine, and proper handling. The job includes daily cleaning, feeding routines, administering medications, monitoring dogs, and maintaining order throughout the facility. The work can be dirty, loud, and physically demanding at times. We expect our staff to take pride in keeping the facility clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Responsibilities Cleaning kennels and facility daily Feeding dogs on strict schedules Handling dogs safely and confidently Administering medications as directed and reporting any health or behavior concerns Monitoring dogs for safety, health, and behavior changes Mopping, disinfecting, laundry, and general facility upkeep Following instructions and procedures consistently Keeping accurate logs and notes Assisting trainers when needed Requirements (non negotiable) Must be dependable and punctual Must arrive on time for scheduled shift Must be comfortable arriving for the 4:00 AM shift while working independently Must be comfortable with physical work and daily cleaning Must be comfortable working around loud or high-energy dogs Must be able to lift 50+ pounds Must have reliable transportation Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed Experience in Any of the Following Is a Plus Kennel or boarding facility Veterinary assistant or kennel technician Dog training Animal shelter or animal control Farm or ranch work Warehouse, labor, or other physically demanding work We invest significant time training our staff and are looking for team members interested in growing with the company.
