Job Description

Love For Dogs is adding a Professional Dog Trainer to our award-winning team in Houston. Our expert Trainers work with client dogs enrolled in our day training programs at our facility. We have a strong affinity for dogs, and our team of Dog Trainers is dedicated to fostering improved connections between pets and their owners. Our approach is centered around positivity, and we are deeply committed to enhancing the well-being of every dog while actively supporting their educational journey. We are seeking individuals who value collaboration, possess enthusiasm for a comprehensive approach to dog training, and are eager to advance their professional skills.
An Ideal Candidate Would Look Like:
At least 5 years of proven experience as a Professional Dog Trainer (private lessons, day-training programs, group classes, board and train, etc.) CPDT-KA or equivalent certifications strongly preferred (AKC Evaluation, CBATI, IACP, AABP, etc) Metals from competitions & a personal dog to utilize and come to work with you Advanced knowledge of dog behavior, learning theories, and training techniques Proven knowledge and application of positive reinforcement training techniques and the ability to successfully achieve desired outcomes with dog Must be able to provide creative opportunities for dogs through training, enrichment socialization, and behavior modification High degree of confidence in transferring training skills to other people Excellent verbal and written communication skills required - constant communication with clients Excellent time management, self-motivation, and patience Must be highly dependable, as the dogs and owners' success relies on consistent trainer involvement
Job Types:

$15.00 - $24.49 per hour
