Part-Time Shift Time(s) 7:00am-1:00pm and/or 3:00pm-7:00pm
Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible, and dog-loving Doggy Play Yard Assistant to supervise and engage with furry friends during group play sessions at our dog boarding and daycare facility. The ideal candidate is attentive, active, and confident around dogs of all breeds and sizes. MUST be available to work weekends. There is the possibility to work weekdays as well. Though your main shifts would be on
Sundays and Saturdays, Key Responsibilities:
Supervise group play sessions in outdoor play yards, ensuring the safety and well-being of all friends. Monitor dog behavior and intervene as needed to prevent or stop rough play, aggression, or stress. Maintain awareness of all dogs under you supervision. Clean up pet waste promptly and maintain a clean, safe play environment. Communicate observations or concerns about dog behavior, health, or injuries to management. Assist with feeding, watering, and transitioning dogs to and from the play yard. Follow all facility protocols for safety, sanitation, and animal handling. Provide excellent care and positive interaction to all friends.
Qualifications:
Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be 16 years or older
Work Environment:
Exposure to loud barking, pet waste, cleaning chemicals, and a physically active setting. Work includes bending, lifting, walking, and standing for long periods. Shifts may include weekends, early mornings, holidays, and evenings.
