RELIABLE, HARDWORKING, ON-TIME
Kennel Attendant. This position is not for everyone. It is physically demanding, fast-paced, and requires constant attention to the dogs in our care. If you're looking for a job where you can spend your day sitting around playing with puppies, this isn't it. However, if you love dogs, take pride in working hard, enjoy staying busy, and want to make a real difference in the lives of our guests, this is an incredibly rewarding career. Reliability Is Our #1 Requirement Our team depends on every employee to do their part. The dogs depend on us, and so do our coworkers. If you are frequently late, call out often, don't like working hard, or have difficulty showing up consistently for your scheduled shifts, please do not apply. We are looking for someone who: Shows up on time, every scheduled shift Takes responsibility for their work Works hard without constant supervision Is dependable enough that teammates know they can count on them Pays attention to detail and puts the dogs' safety first Has a positive attitude and is willing to jump in wherever needed Schedule Work hours vary.
Typical weekday shifts:
6:30 AM
- 1:00 PM 1:00 PM
- 7:30 PM Weekend shifts: 9:00 AM
- 5:00 PM It is imperative that applicants are not afraid to hustle, work hard, SHOW UP, and show up on time.
Candidates must be friendly, dependable, attentive, honest, and willing to follow directions. You must be highly observant of dog behavior and learn to recognize escalating behaviors before they become problems. We're looking for dog-passionate people who truly

Previous experience working in a boarding facility, daycare, or veterinary hospital is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a great work ethic and eagerness to learn.

while supervising dogs or interacting with customers is strictly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate dismissal. We offer a supportive team environment where everyone works together to provide exceptional care for our guests. Job Responsibilities Supervise dogs during group play while maintaining a safe environment. Play and interact with the dogs. Be willing and able to safely intervene if dogs begin to fight. Clean up after dogs throughout the day. Mop, disinfect, sanitize, and maintain a clean, fresh-smelling facility. Ensure every dog has fresh water at all times. Learn each dog's name, personality, and appropriate playgroup. Escort dogs to their assigned rooms at the end of the day. Remain on your feet for most of your shift. Follow all company safety procedures. Qualifications Must genuinely love dogs…and their people! Prior animal care experience is a plus. Dependable, responsible, honest, and punctual. Positive, friendly, team-oriented attitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to work independently while also contributing to a team. Physically able to lift, bend, clean, and remain active throughout the shift. Please Note Every position at City Dogs includes significant facility cleaning and sanitation responsibilities. We all share in keeping our facility clean, disinfected, organized, and smelling fresh. Cleaning is an essential part of providing outstanding care for our dogs.
