Job Description

Kennel Technician We are hiring a Kennel Technician to join our professional dog training facility. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role for someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and high standards for cleanliness who is interested in learning the dog training trade.
Schedule:
Two or Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week One additional short shift required Minimum 3 hours availability (occasionally up to 4 hours) Weekend availability is required Part time to three quarter time position Around 28 to 36 hours per week
Pay:
$18-$19 per hour (DOE)
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and sanitary facility, including frequent mopping Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, and equipment (hands-and-knees cleaning required at times) Assist with daily dog care, feeding, and handling Support trainers and learn basic dog training and handling skills Safely handle dogs of all sizes, including large breeds Communicate professionally with team members and clients as needed Work effectively in a teamwork-focused environment with direct communication
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs regularly Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and stand for extended periods Comfortable performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks
Qualifications:
Prior dog experience required (professional or personal) Comfortable handling large dogs Positive attitude and strong attention to detail Strong communication and people skills Retail or customer service experience helpful but not required Willingness to learn and grow as both a kennel technician and training assistant
