Job Description

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional dog training.
  • Familiarity and confidence with balanced training tools (e.g., prong collars, e-collars, long lines, markers, food engagement strategies).
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
  • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in high-energy environments.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Open-mindedness to feedback, eagerness to learn, and adaptability.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work at either of our two locations. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with obedience training, reactivity work, board-and-train, or structured day training.
  • Background in customer service and coaching dog owners.
  • Experience in dog daycare, kennels, veterinary clinics, shelters, or rescues.
  • Ability to create individualized training plans and document progress.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a training team. What You'll Do
  • Conduct training using balanced, fair, and humane methods.
  • Teach dog owners how to keep training effective and confident, both in person and through video homework.
  • Facilitate private lessons, group sessions, or board-and-train programs (depending on experience).
  • Assess incoming dogs and collaborate on creating tailored training plans.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and team members.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and structured training environment.
