Job Description

Help build something new, exciting, and transformational from the ground up. Mohave College is seeking a dynamic and visionary Manager of Cosmetology Programs to lead the launch and growth of an exciting new cosmetology program located in a brand-new facility adjacent to our Beale Street Campus. This is a rare opportunity to shape a program from the beginning—developing future beauty industry professionals while helping establish a modern, innovative learning environment designed for student success and workforce readiness. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the beauty industry, energized by program development, and excited to help create a positive and inspiring educational culture. As Manager, you will play a key role in guiding program operations, supporting students and instructors, building industry partnerships, and helping create a hands-on learning environment that reflects current industry standards and trends. We are looking for someone who is open to learning, personable, motivating, and inspiring—a leader who connects well with students, encourages growth, and creates an engaging environment where future professionals can thrive. The ideal candidate values collaboration, innovation, and mentorship while bringing enthusiasm and professionalism into every aspect of the program. At Mohave College, this is more than managing a program—it's an opportunity to help establish a destination for cosmetology education in the region while making a lasting impact on students, the community, and the future of the industry. What We'll Love About You You are passionate about the cosmetology and beauty industry and excited about helping launch and grow a brand-new program from the ground up. You are open to learning, embracing new ideas, industry trends, and opportunities to continuously improve programs, services, and student experiences. You are personable and approachable, creating strong connections with students, staff, community partners, and industry professionals. You are naturally motivating and inspiring, encouraging students to build confidence, professionalism, creativity, and technical skill. You bring strong organizational and leadership skills while maintaining a positive, student-focused environment. You enjoy mentoring and supporting students as they prepare for careers in cosmetology and related industries. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy contributing to a team-oriented culture focused on student success. You are adaptable and energized by the opportunity to help shape a new and evolving program in a modern facility. You understand the importance of aligning instruction and program experiences with current industry standards, customer service expectations, and workforce needs. You are community-minded and excited to help establish the cosmetology program as a valued resource and workforce pipeline within the region. What You'll Love About Us We create the future. At Mohave College, curiosity drives everything we do. We inspire innovation, take smart risks, and transform challenges into opportunities for growth. Together, we design new possibilities—learning from both our successes and our setbacks as we shape the future of education and workforce development. We engage with passion. We bring energy, purpose, and heart to our work. Whether we're welcoming new students, collaborating on ideas, or celebrating achievements, we lead with enthusiasm and a sense of fun. Our passion makes a difference—for our students, our colleagues, and our community. We build together. Diversity of thought, background, and experience is our greatest strength. We believe every voice matters and that collaboration fuels creativity. By empowering one another and working toward a shared vision, we amplify our collective impact and move the College forward. We live with integrity. We communicate openly, invite collaboration, and make decisions transparently. Respect and authenticity guide every interaction, ensuring trust within our teams and across our campuses. We care deeply. We care about our students, our colleagues, and our communities.
