Job Overview James Matthew Salon is seeking licensed hairstylists interested in an independent chair rental opportunity in Irvine/Newport Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for beauty professionals who want the freedom to operate their own business while working in an established, professional salon environment. Stylists keep 100% of their service earnings and enjoy the flexibility of managing their own schedule and clientele. We provide a welcoming atmosphere, towel service, cleaning services, and access to salon products. Weekly chair rental starts at $250. Whether you're an experienced stylist or looking for a new salon home to grow your business, we'd love to connect with you. Duties Provide professional hair styling services including cutting, coloring, styling, and special treatments such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment adhering to all sanitation standards and protocols Offer expert consultations on color theory, hair care, and styling options tailored to each client's needs Upsell retail products such as hair care to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue Requirements Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in diverse hair services including hair extensions and color application Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Demonstrated expertise in hair styling and coloring techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients of all backgrounds Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing personalized recommendations This is an exciting opportunity for licensed beauty professionals eager to operate independently within a thriving salon community.
