Duties Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or tape-in extensions. Conduct consultations to understand client preferences, recommend suitable styles or treatments, and educate on hair care routines. Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace following strict sanitation standards to ensure client safety and comfort. Upsell retail products like hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to meet client needs while boosting salon revenue. Mentor junior team members or apprentices by sharing skills in barbering, hair threading, or advanced styling techniques. Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling payments efficiently. Skills Proficiency in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), and advanced techniques like straight razor shaving or hair threading. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to uphold health standards in the salon environment. Expertise in cosmetology and barbering with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations. Skills in retail math for effective upselling of products like eyelash extensions, nail care items, or makeup products. Knowledge of store management principles to contribute to a smooth salon operation. Capable of mentoring team members in areas such as retail sales or advanced styling techniques.
