Responsibilities Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles tailored to each client's preferences. Perform hair treatments such as coloring, highlighting, balayage, and applying hair extensions with precision and care. Utilize salon software like Salon Biz to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations, including sterilizing tools and workstations. Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Stay current with the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and barbering practices through ongoing education. Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointment flow, and supporting store management when needed. Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to foster a collaborative environment. Upsell retail products effectively by understanding client needs and educating them on benefits to increase sales revenue. Skills Proven experience in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), and advanced techniques like straight razor shaves or hair threading. Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Expertise in cosmetology or barbering licensed according to local regulations; additional skills in eyelash extensions and nail care are a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients confidently while providing personalized service. Ability to educate clients on hair care products, retail math principles for upselling, and retail sales strategies. Familiarity with store management practices including front desk operations and mentoring team members in various beauty services.
