Responsibilities Provide high-quality hair styling services including cutting, coloring, styling, and specialized treatments such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions. Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace in compliance with health regulations and salon standards. Utilize salon software systems like FRESHA for scheduling appointments, managing client information, and processing retail sales efficiently. Offer expert consultations on color theory, hair care routines, and product recommendations to enhance client satisfaction. Upsell retail products such as hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and accessories to boost revenue streams. Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, effective communication skills, and personalized service offerings. Stay updated on current trends in hair styling, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and new beauty treatments to provide innovative services. Manage your own store operations including appointment scheduling, client retention strategies, and retail sales tracking using salon management tools. Mentor junior stylists or apprentices when applicable, fostering a collaborative environment focused on growth and skill development. Requirements Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in hair styling with skills in hair extensions, coloring techniques, and advanced styling methods. Knowledge of salon software platforms such as FRESHA for appointment booking and retail management. Proficiency in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize earnings. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members. Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism in a booth rental environment.
