Duties Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre. Provide specialized treatments like eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading to enhance client beauty routines. Utilize salon software such as

MINDBODY

to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Deliver excellent customer service by listening carefully to client needs, offering professional advice on hair care products, and upselling retail items effectively. Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, managing wait times, and handling inquiries professionally. Mentor junior team members in hair styling techniques, salon procedures, and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Requirements Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law. Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and treatments such as straight razor shaves or hair extensions. Strong knowledge of color theory and current trends in hair fashion. Familiarity with salon management tools like MINDBODY or similar salon software for scheduling and retail tracking. Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively. Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously and uphold health standards at all times. Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities. Skills in makeup application, nail care, and hair threading are desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning new techniques is essential.
