Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Substitute Instructor specializing in Skin Care, Nails, Massage, Cosmetology, or Barbering to join our educational team. In this role, you will deliver engaging, hands-on instruction to students across a variety of beauty and wellness disciplines, ensuring they gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge aligned with industry standards. Duties Deliver comprehensive lessons in skin care, nail technology, massage therapy, cosmetology, and barbering according to curriculum guidelines Prepare lesson plans that incorporate both theoretical instruction and practical demonstrations Supervise students during hands-on practice to ensure proper technique and safety protocols are followed Assess student performance through observations, evaluations, and feedback to support their skill development Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment equipped with necessary tools and supplies for each discipline Stay current with industry trends and advances in aesthetic treatments, hair styling techniques, and barbering practices Collaborate with full-time instructors to ensure seamless curriculum delivery and student success Skills Extensive knowledge of cosmetology disciplines including hair coloring, hair extensions, hair styling, eyelash extensions, body waxing, facials, makeup application, and nail care Proficiency in advanced aesthetic treatments such as dermabrasion, esthetic laser therapy, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and facial treatments Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to massage therapy and skin care procedures Experience with classroom teaching or adult education settings with the ability to effectively lesson plan and adapt instructional methods Skilled in performing specialized services like hair threading and body waxing while emphasizing safety and hygiene standards Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and motivate students through engaging instruction Familiarity with industry tools and techniques including hair coloring products, lash extension adhesives, laser devices for aesthetics, and other professional equipment Join us as a Substitute Instructor to shape the next generation of beauty professionals!
