Duties Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in at the front desk using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar systems Prepare workstations for stylists by cleaning tools, organizing supplies, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations Support stylists with hair styling tasks, including blow-drying, curling, and basic hair treatments, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction Manage retail sales by recommending products like hair care items, retail math calculations for upselling opportunities, and processing transactions accurately Maintain cleanliness of the salon environment through sanitation procedures for tools such as straight razors and other equipment Support store management with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and tracking product sales to optimize retail performance Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering styling advice based on color theory principles, and ensuring a positive experience at every visit Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge of salon procedures and fostering a collaborative atmosphere Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Knowledge of hair styling techniques including advanced cutting and coloring. Familiarity with salon software systems such as INSIGHT for scheduling and client management Understanding of sanitation standards related to cosmetology practices Experience in retail sales techniques with an emphasis on upselling premium products Basic knowledge of color theory to assist in color consultations and treatment. Competence in front desk operations including appointment scheduling and client check-in/out processes Willingness to learn new skills!
